About the event
Contact Improvisation is an improvised movement practice that has been evolving internationally since 1972. Through touch, shared weight, balance, and movement awareness, participants explore the art of listening, responding, and creating together in motion.
Primarily a visual artist, William Giese discovered Contact Improvisation in 1988 and found in it a living creative practice that continues to inspire his artistic process today. His classes offer a welcoming space to explore curiosity, presence, and authentic movement—whether you're completely new or have years of experience.
